The MWRD's number of social media followers has been increasing over time. The Strategic Plan stretch target was easily met; we will set a new goal related to social media soon.

Our website is one of the first ways to engage with residents and stakeholders. The Strategic Plan baseline target of a 10% increase in page views was met; we will continue towards the stretch target of a 20% increase.

Aside from the dip during the COVID-19 pandemic, mwrd.org has received an increasing number of page views year after year.

In 2022, 51,265 people attended MWRD outreach events and presentations, a 173 percent increase from 2020.

Our Strategic Plan stretch goal of 20% increase in number of event participants was easily met by 12/31/22 because of the reduced activity in 2020 resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The MWRD will set a new goal related to event attendees soon.

In 2022, MWRD held 246 events and presentations, a 219-percent increase from 2020.

The Office of Public Affairs regularly conduct presentations, participate in and facilitate outreach events and job fairs, and lead tours for people of varying age groups, organizations, and businesses to educate and inform them about the MWRD's history, programs and services.
