Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) assigns all positions within its organizational structure to a designated job classification based on the duties performed. Each job classification is assigned a job title and allocated to a grade on the pay plan. All positions in a job classification are assigned to that pay grade.

Technical, Administrative & Managerial Pay Plan

Compensation for all non-represented job classifications is defined in the Technical, Administrative and Managerial (TAM) pay plan. To maintain uniformity in pay, the MWRD prescribes the minimum and maximum pay for each grade on the pay plan. Advancement within the salary range is provided to recognize growth in the job and is based on job performance. Salary advancement stages are referred to as “Steps” within the pay grade. There are nine (9) steps for each pay grade on the TAM pay plan. PDF to view the current TAM pay plan is below:

Labor Trades Pay Plan

Employees in positions covered by collective bargaining agreements shall be compensated based on negotiations between unions representing such employees and management of the MWRD. Compensation for these job classifications is defined in the Labor Trades Pay Plan. PDF to view the current Labor Trades pay plan rates is below:
