WHO: The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) 

WHAT: The MWRD will raise the Juneteenth flag at its downtown office and at all seven water reclamation plants to honor and recognize Freedom Day.

WHERE: Barbara J. McGowan Main Office Building, 100 E. Erie Street, Chicago, IL

The MWRD will raise the Juneteenth flag to honor and recognize Freedom Day on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. The flag‑raising ceremony will include brief remarks from MWRD leadership and other dignitaries as the MWRD reaffirms its commitment to equity, inclusion, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
