Speakers will explore a wide range of topics centered on preparing our region for a changing climate. Presentations will highlight how land conservation, restoration, and nature-based solutions are strengthening communities and how stormwater management and green infrastructure strategies are protecting homes and businesses from flooding. Attendees will also learn how trees and sustainable landscaping improve public health and create more resilient neighborhoods.
In addition to sharing innovative strategies and resources, the Summit will honor individuals, organizations, municipalities, and agencies that exemplify leadership in sustainability. The MWRD will recognize projects across Cook County that advance renewable resources, flood control, and water quality improvements.
