Watershed Planning Council meetings are held quarterly for each watershed and provide an opportunity to learn about and discuss:

• MWRD projects in your watershed,
• Revisions to the Watershed Management Ordinance,
• Maintenance work by the Small Streams Maintenance Program, and
• Local stormwater issues and other updates from other government agencies.

Flood Response: Agency Roles and Available Resources
Representatives from IEMA, CCEMRS, IDNR, and the MWRD will provide an overview of their roles in flood response and emergency 
management. 

Presenters will discuss coordination and communication with local  municipalities before, during, and after flood events; data collection and damage assessments; public outreach; and available resources, tools, and training to support preparedness and response.
