Water Research Foundation:
Tom Kunetz, MWRD Assistant Director of Monitoring and Research, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Water Research Foundation (WRF) (Denver, CO). The MWRD is a long time subscriber to WRF, and its predecessor, the Water Environment Research Foundation. As a global leader in wastewater treatment and stormwater management, the MWRD’s membership in WRF provides MWRD staff with access to leading edge research results, the ability to participate in research projects funded by WRF, and a platform to advance public benefits through shared knowledge.
As a Director, Tom will provide strategic direction, fiscal stewardship, and leadership to ensure WRF’s vision and mission are achieved through optimized utilization of resources. He will serve a three year term. Tom is also currently serving as an officer of the Board of Trustees of the Water Environment Federation as Immediate Past President. He is the recipient of the Charles Walter Nichols Award for Environmental Excellence from the American Public Works Association and is a WEF Fellow.
