The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) will celebrate Black History Month in February to highlight our commitment to diversity, to support the Black community and to honor the achievements of African Americans in the fields of health and wellness.

The month will kick off with the fourth annual raising of the Pan-African Flag at the Barbara J. McGowan Main Office Building, 100 E. Erie Street on Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. All seven MWRD water reclamation plants will also raise the flag.
